Founded in 1995 and based near Clermont-Ferrand (France), Groupe Icare is an independent laboratory and service provider in the field of regulatory safety, especially for the medical devices segment and pharmaceutical products. Its mission is to guarantee to its clients that the devices and products on the market are in line with regulatory requirements and standards. The group has developed a unique and multidisciplinary one-stop-shop service offering, combining complementary areas of expertise within four dedicated Competence Areas:

• Laboratory Testing: microbiological, physico-chemical, sterility, and endotoxin testing services, as well as custom-made processes.
• Biocompatibility and Toxicology (Biotox): biocompatibility, toxicity, pharmacology analysis, and regulatory consultancy services.
• Validation and Qualification: process validation, equipment and cleanroom qualification.
• Consulting and Training: microbiological testing, documentation to obtain market authorization, contamination problem resolution, risk analysis, etc.

The Group serves a large and diverse base of over 500 customers, ranging from blue-chip companies to start-ups across various healthcare verticals (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, veterinary, dental, etc.).
