Our SPORTS segment offers a comprehensive portfolio of services for the quality assurance, further development and certification of sports surfaces, sports equipment and sports infrastructure. This includes the testing of all surfaces – from grass and artificial turf pitches, running tracks and indoor surfaces to special surfaces for different types of sport. In addition to laboratory, performance and durability tests, field tests, functional measurements and safety-related analyses are also carried out.
The division also offers comprehensive consulting services for the planning, construction, modernisation and maintenance of sports facilities. This includes technical assessments, material analyses, performance comparisons and recommendations for optimum installation and maintenance processes. Sports equipment is also tested according to defined standards and assessed in terms of functionality, safety and material quality.
Another focus is on the development of new technologies, testing methods and digital tools to drive innovation in sports infrastructure. In addition, training courses, workshops and certification programmes are offered to support operators, clubs, manufacturers and planners in the practical application, interpretation of standards and quality assurance.
