Van Santen Advies joins the CERTANIA Group

Dutch specialist in asbestos, hazardous materials and building inspections expands CERTANIA’s Buildings & Infrastructure offering in the Netherlands.

München/Delft, 09th Juni 2026 – Van Santen Advies has joined the CERTANIA Group. In the Netherlands, Van Santen supports property owners, housing associations and developers with hazardous-material compliance and risk assessments – particularly in the context of asbestos and other regulated substances – and provides robust documentation aligned with legal requirements.

Founded in 2013, Van Santen comprises Van Santen Advies B.V., Van Santen Projecten B.V. and Van Santen Inspectie B.V. Its operating model is structured around three pillars: Advisory (e.g., asbestos, chromium-6), Project Management (e.g., remediation and demolition projects) and Inspection (e.g., moisture, mould, leak detection and drying technology). This enables end-to-end support for customers – from assessment and planning through execution, verification and documentation.

As part of the integration, Van Santen will work closely with SGI Compliance, another CERTANIA company. The objective is a coordinated service offering for customers in the Netherlands covering hazardous-material compliance and building inspections – from planning through to documentation.

“As a globally active TIC provider, CERTANIA continuously develops its service portfolio. With Van Santen, we expand our coverage in the Netherlands within Buildings & Infrastructure across hazardous-material compliance and building inspections – with the clear goal of supporting customers reliably across disciplines,” said Moritz Gruber, CEO of CERTANIA.

“When hazardous materials are involved in existing buildings, customers need quick clarity and clean, robust documentation,” said Cock van Santen, Managing Director of Van Santen Advies. “Together with CERTANIA, we can deliver this consistently nationwide – especially for housing associations and public-sector clients.”

“We complement hazardous-material compliance with recurring building inspections – such as moisture, mould and leak detection,” added Mark Verbrugge, Managing Director of Van Santen Advies. “This helps customers obtain a complete picture faster for sound decisions across their building portfolio.”
